The Fuquay - Varina Bengals volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs to 0 in the Bengals league triumph on Thursday.

The Bengals now have a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cleveland for a Greater Neuse River 7A game on Tuesday, September 2. Fuquay - Varina will confront a Rams squad coming off a 3-0 league win over South Garner (Garner, NC). The Rams record now stands at 6-0.

The Bulldogs (0-6) will now prepare for their game against Clayton (Clayton, NC). The Comets go into the Greater Neuse River 7A game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Clayton gained a win over Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC), 3-0, in a league game.
