Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Lafayette County Cougars (Stamps, AR) and the host Harmony Grove Hornets (Camden, AR), observed Lafayette County's volleyball team hold off Harmony Grove by a count of 3-2.

The Cougars (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Taylor (Taylor, AR). The Tigers enter the 2A 6 contest with a 2-1 record.

Next, the Hornets meet the Smackover Buckaroos (Smackover, AR) in a 3A 6 battle, on Tuesday, September 2. Harmony Grove will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record.
