The New Roads Jaguars topped the host Hawthorne Math & Science Academy Aviators volleyball team by a margin of 3-1 in Thursday's league outing.

The Jaguars now possess a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Animo Venice for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 2. New Roads will play a Pirates team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Westchester (Los Angeles, CA). The Pirates record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Hawthorne Math & Science Academy drops to 2-1 on the campaign. The aviators travel to California Academy of Math & Science (Carson, CA) to play the Coyotes in a Coastal outing on Wednesday, September 3. The Coyotes come into the outing with a record of 5-0. California Academy of Math & Science won 3-1 in their recent non-league outing against Oxford Academy (Cypress, CA)
