The Mauldin Mavericks volleyball squad (Mauldin, SC), was defeated 3-1 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Hillcrest Rams (Simpsonville, SC)

With the win, Hillcrest improves its record to 4-2 on the season. The Rams travel to Greenwood (Greenwood, SC) to encounter the Eagles in a AAAAA Region 1 battle on Thursday, September 4. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 0-2.

The Mavericks now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to T.L. Hanna for a AAAAA Region 1 battle on Thursday, September 4.
