Tennessee High School Volleyball - McMinn County overwhelmed by Rhea County

August 28, 2025: Evensville, TN 37332

Rhea County Golden Eagles (Evensville, TN) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team run past the visiting McMinn County Cherokees (Athens, TN), 3-0 in a league outing.

The Golden Eagles now have a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Walker Valley for a AAA District 5 game on Tuesday, September 2. Rhea County will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Hixson (Hixson, TN). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-5.

The Cherokees (0-2) will now prepare for their game against Tellico Plains (Tellico Plains, TN). The Bears go into the non-league game with a 1-2 record.
