The Sanford Mustangs (Sanford, CO) volleyball knocked off the visiting Monte Vista Pirates (Monte Vista, CO), 3-0 in Thursday's league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Pagosa Springs for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 30. Sanford will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Steamboat Springs (Steamboat Springs, CO). The Pirates record now stands at 1-3.

The Pirates (2-2) will now prepare for their match against Buena Vista (Buena Vista, CO). The Demons enter the 2A Southern Peaks match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Buena Vista was outscored by Salida (Salida, CO), 3-2, in a non-league match.
