Match Summary
The Lady Trojans pulled out an overtime win against Poquoson with an 18-16 performance in the fifth set. The match saw some significant momentum shifts with NK winning the first set 26-24, but Poquoson jumped out to an 11-0 lead in the second set, which the Lady Trojans never recovered from. NK had been out-of-system in their offense most of the second game, so the decision was made to leave Hannah Sachs, who was filling in as NK's second setter, in on the front row, to add a second pair of hands to the lineup. Instead, Hannah went on a hitting spree, tallying 9 K's & a .208 efficiency in the final 3 games. Primary setter Desi Stowe contributed 23 assists & 11 digs. Carly Sachs led the offense with 11 Ks & 2 aces, while Leah Rounds contributed 9 Ks & 5 aces, with Ava Nieto and Reagan Hailey-Robinson adding 5 kills each. Brooklyn Wiles came off the bench in the third set after starting Libero Carina Dolci was injured in a collision with another player and contributed 2 Ks & 13 digs.
