New Mexico High School Volleyball - Artesia can't hold off Carlsbad

In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Carlsbad Cavemen volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Artesia Bulldogs.
The Cavemen (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Centennial (Las Cruces, NM). The Hawks come into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Centennial nudged Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Bulldogs clash with the Alamogordo Tigers (Alamogordo, NM) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, August 31. Artesia will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Tigers come into the battle with a 0-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Valencia (Los Lunas, NM).
