The Ashley Screaming Eagle held off the host South Brunswick Cougars volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Screaming Eagle now have a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Laney for a non-league test on Thursday, August 31. Ashley will confront a Buccaneers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 5-1.
The Cougars (0-3) will now prepare for their test against North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Scorpions enter the non-league test with a 4-1 record. In their last test, North Brunswick was nudged by Hoggard (Wilmington, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.
