The Powell County Pirates soccer team scored 12 points and limited the visiting Knott County Central Patriots to 0 in the Pirates non-league victory on Tuesday.

Next, the Pirates face the Jackson City Tigers (Jackson, KY) in a District 54 contest, on Tuesday, September 5. Powell County will attempt to better on its 6-1 season record.

The Patriots now have a 0-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Prestonsburg for a non-league contest on Thursday, August 31. Knott County Central will face a Blackcats team coming off a 11-0 league win over Shelby Valley (Pikeville, KY). The Blackcats record now stands at 4-2.
