The Alamosa Mean Moose softball team scored 15 runs and limited the host Montezuma-Cortez Panthers to 13 in the Mean Moose non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Alamosa moves its record to 5-2 on the year. The Mean Moose host Pueblo Central (Pueblo, CO) to play the Wildcats in a non-league game on Thursday, August 31. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 2-4. Pueblo Central lost 14-2 in their recent non-league game against Ponderosa (Parker, CO)

In their next game, the Panthers play the Delta Panthers (Delta, CO) in a 3A Western Slope game, on Friday, September 1. Montezuma-Cortez will attempt to move on its 4-3 season record. The Panthers come into the game with a 3-3 record after their 9-5 league win over Gunnison (Gunnison, CO).
