Sequoyah Indians (Tahlequah, OK) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Kiefer Trojans (Kiefer, OK), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 15-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Porter for a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 31. Sequoyah will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Mounds (Mounds, OK). The Pirates record now stands at 8-11.

With the loss, Kiefer falls to 18-4 on the campaign. The Trojans host Westville (Westville, OK) to battle the Yellowjackets in a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 31. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a record of 11-7. Westville won 7-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Sequoyah (Claremore, OK)
