In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Bear Grass Charter Bears volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Gates County Red Barons.
The Bears (5-1) will now prepare for their battle against Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, Northside - Pinetown lost by Washington (Washington, NC), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Red Barons clash with the Riverside-Martin Knights (Williamston, NC) in a Four Rivers 1A battle, on Thursday, August 31. Gates County will attempt to advance on its 0-6 season record. The Knights come into the battle with a 1-6 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Southside (Chocowinity, NC).
