Illinois High School Volleyball - Mt. Vernon Carbondale

The Carbondale Terriers topped the visiting Mt. Vernon Rams volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Tuesday's league test.

The Terriers now have a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Murphysboro for a non-league test on Thursday, August 31. Carbondale will confront a Red Devils team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Cobden (Cobden, IL). The Red Devils record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Mt. Vernon drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Rams host Frankfort (West Frankfort, IL) to battle the Redbirds in a non-league contest on Thursday, August 31. The Redbirds come into the contest with a record of 2-7. Frankfort lost 2-1 in their recent non-league contest against Herrin (Herrin, IL)
