The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the East Union Urchins (Blue Springs, MS) and the host Myrtle Hawks (Myrtle, MS), saw East Union's volleyball squad beat Myrtle by a tally of 3-1.
With the win, East Union upgrades its record to 13-6 on the year. The Urchins host Mooreville (Mooreville, MS) to play the Troopers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 5. The Troopers go into the bout with a record of 1-5.
The Hawks now own a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to North Pontotoc for a non-league bout on Thursday, August 31. Myrtle will play a Vikings squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Alcorn Central (Glen, MS). The Vikings record now stands at 1-12.
