In Tuesday's league battle, the host Johnson Central Golden Eagles volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Martin County Cardinals.
The Golden Eagles (9-1) will now prepare for their battle against Magoffin County (Salyersville, KY). The Hornets come into the District 57 battle with a 0-6 record. In their last battle, Magoffin County lost by Lawrence County (Louisa, KY), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Cardinals clash with the Pikeville Panthers (Pikeville, KY) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, August 31. Martin County will attempt to advance on its 1-5 season record. The Panthers come into the battle with a 6-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Betsy Layne (Betsy Layne, KY).
