The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Lyford Bulldogs (Lyford, TX) and the host Progreso Red Ants (Progreso, TX), saw Lyford's volleyball squad beat Progreso by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Lyford upgrades its record to 8-7 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to IDEA Sports Park (Brownsville, TX) to play the Stingrays in a 3A Region IV District 32 bout on Friday, September 1. The Stingrays go into the bout with a record of 0-1. IDEA Sports Park lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against IDEA Weslaco Pike (Weslaco, TX)

The Red Ants now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to IDEA Weslaco Pike for a 3A Region IV District 32 bout on Friday, September 15.
