The Newport Greyhounds volleyball team (Newport, AR), went down 3-0 in Tuesday's league challenge with the visiting Manila Lions (Manila, AR)

The Lions (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Bald Knob (Bald Knob, AR). The Bulldogs come into the 3A Northeast challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, Bald Knob went down by Walnut Ridge (Walnut Ridge, AR), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Greyhounds encounter the Cave City Cavemen (Cave City, AR) in a 3A Northeast challenge, on Thursday, August 31. Newport will attempt to move on its 0-4 season record. The Cavemen come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 3-2 league loss to Hoxie (Hoxie, AR).
