Texas High School Volleyball - Vela crushed by McAllen Memorial

The McAllen Memorial Mustangs topped the visiting Vela Sabercats volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Tuesday's league test.

The Mustangs now have a 19-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host McAllen for a 5A Region IV District 31 test on Saturday, September 2. McAllen Memorial will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 league win over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North (Pharr, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 22-4.

The Sabercats (13-11) will now prepare for their test against Sharyland (Mission, TX). The Rattlers enter the 5A Region IV District 31 test with a 27-1 record. In their last test, Sharyland gained a win over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX), 3-0, in a league test.
