In Thursday's league challenge, the host Lutheran West Longhorns volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Cuyahoga Heights Red Wolves.

The Longhorns (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Columbia (Columbia Station, OH). The Raiders come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Columbia edged Wellington (Wellington, OH), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Red Wolves meet the Trinity Trojans (Garfield Heights, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 3. Cuyahoga Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
