With the triumph, South Effingham improves its record to 7-2 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Brunswick (Brunswick, GA) to play the Pirates in a 5A Region 1 game on Tuesday, September 3. The Pirates enter the game with a record of 4-4. Brunswick lost 14-0 in their recent league game against Statesboro (Statesboro, GA)

The Tigers now hold a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Glynn Academy for a 5A Region 1 contest on Tuesday, September 3. Bradwell Institute will face a Terrors squad coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Ware County (Waycross, GA). The Terrors record now stands at 4-7.
