Next, the Pirates meet the Stigler Panthers (Stigler, OK) in a 4A District 6 challenge, on Tuesday, September 3. Poteau will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Panthers go into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 4-1 league win over Muldrow (Muldrow, OK).

The Tigers (6-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Sapulpa (Sapulpa, OK). The Chieftains go into the non-league challenge with a 6-9 record. In their last challenge, Sapulpa was routed by Coweta (Coweta, OK), 12-2, in a non-league challenge.
