The Islands Sharks softball squad (Savannah, GA), was routed 11-0 in Thursday's league contest with the visiting Long County Blue Tide (Ludowici, GA)

With the triumph, Long County improves its record to 3-5 on the year. The Blue Tide travel to Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA) to face the Warriors in a non-league contest on Friday, August 30. The Warriors enter the contest with a record of 1-4. Tattnall County lost 4-2 in their recent league contest against Crisp County (Cordele, GA)

The Sharks now hold a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Southeast Bulloch for a 3A Region 3 contest on Tuesday, September 3. Islands will face a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 16-3 league win over Liberty County (Hinesville, GA). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 11-1.
