Toombs County Bulldogs (Lyons, GA) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Savannah Christian Raiders (Savannah, GA), 8-6 in a league game.

With the triumph, Toombs County upgrades its record to 9-2 on the year. The Bulldogs host Swainsboro (Swainsboro, GA) to play the Tigers in a 1A D-I Region 3 game on Thursday, September 5. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 5-6.

The Raiders now own a 8-5 record. They play next when they host Providence Christian Academy for a non-league game on Friday, August 30. Savannah Christian will play a Storm squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Banks County (Homer, GA). The Storm record now stands at 5-6.
