In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Nicholas County Bluejackets volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Augusta Panthers.
The Bluejackets (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Paris (Paris, KY). The Greyhounds come into the non-league contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Paris notched a victory over Berea (Berea, KY), 3-0, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Panthers battle the Bracken County Polar Bears (Brooksville, KY) in a District 39 contest, on Tuesday, September 3. Augusta will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record. The Polar Bears enter the contest with a 3-2 record after their 3-0 league win over St. Patrick (Maysville, KY).
