Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Bell County Bobcats (Pineville, KY) and the visiting Harlan County Black Bears (Harlan, KY), observed Bell County's volleyball team hold off Harlan County by a tally of 3-2.

The Bobcats (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Perry County Central (Hazard, KY). The Commodores enter the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Perry County Central got by Morgan County (West Liberty, KY), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Black Bears meet the Whitley County Colonels (Williamsburg, KY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, August 31. Harlan County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Colonels enter the contest with a 3-0 record after their 3-1 non-league win over North Laurel (London, KY).
