Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) and the visiting Raceland Rams (Raceland, KY), observed Boyd County's volleyball team top Raceland by a count of 3-0.

The Lions (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Blazer (Ashland, KY). The Tomcats enter the District 64 contest with a 6-0 record. In their last contest, Blazer notched a victory over Russell (Russell, KY), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Rams meet the Lewis County Lions (Vanceburg, KY) in a District 63 contest, on Tuesday, September 3. Raceland will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Lions enter the contest with a 1-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to Greenup County (Greenup, KY).
