In Thursday's league challenge, the host Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus Tigers volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Smidt Tech Grey Wolves.

The Tigers (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Central City Value (Los Angeles, CA). The Jaguars enter the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Central City Value got by Animo Robinson (Los Angeles, CA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Grey Wolves meet the Rise Kohyang Tritons (Los Angeles, CA) in a Galaxy challenge, on Wednesday, September 4. Smidt Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Tritons enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Annenberg (Los Angeles, CA).
