In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Oakwood Academy Mustangs volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Columbia Eagles.
The Mustangs (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Mae Jemison (Huntsville, AL). The Jaguars come into the non-league challenge with a 0-5 record.
Next, the Eagles play the Mae Jemison Jaguars (Huntsville, AL) in a 6A Area 16 challenge, on Wednesday, September 4. Columbia will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
