In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Harlan Green Dragons volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Red Bird Cardinals.

The Green Dragons (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Bell County (Pineville, KY). The Bobcats come into the District 52 challenge with a 3-2 record.

Next, the Cardinals meet the Oneida Baptist Institute Mountaineers (Oneida, KY) in a District 49 challenge, on Thursday, September 5. Red Bird will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Model (Richmond, KY).
