The Stampede (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Brookwood (Brookwood, AL). The Panthers enter the 6A Area 6 contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Brookwood was knocked off by Northside (Northport, AL), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Golden Gophers battle the Carver Birmingham Rams (Birmingham, AL) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, August 29. Hueytown will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record.
