In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Lancaster Mennonite Blazers volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the J.P. McCaskey Red Tornado.

The Blazers (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Lebanon (Lebanon, PA). The Cedars come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Lebanon edged Linden Hall School for Girls (Lititz, PA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Red Tornado meet the Octorara Area Braves (Atglen, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 3. J.P. McCaskey will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Braves come into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 3-0 league win over Columbia (Columbia, PA).
