Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Kettle Run Cougars (Nokesville, VA) and the visiting Meridian Mustangs (Falls Church, VA), observed Kettle Run's volleyball team top Meridian by a count of 3-0.

The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Warren County (Front Royal, VA). The Wildcats enter the Northwestern contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Warren County notched a victory over Rappahannock County (Washington, VA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Fauquier Falcons (Warrenton, VA) in a Northwestern contest, on Wednesday, September 4. Meridian will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record.
