Virginia High School Volleyball - Parry McCluer over Roanoke Catholic

Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA) and the host Roanoke Catholic Celtics (Roanoke, VA), observed Parry McCluer's volleyball team top Roanoke Catholic by a count of 3-1.

The Fighting Blues (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Nelson County (Lovingston, VA). The Governors enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Nelson County was knocked off by Amherst County (Amherst, VA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Celtics battle the North Cross Raiders (Roanoke, VA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 3. Roanoke Catholic will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Raiders enter the contest with a 4-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Faith Christian (Roanoke, VA).
