North Carolina High School Volleyball - Roanoke Rapids edged by Southern Nash

Southern Nash Firebirds (Bailey, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets (Roanoke Rapids, NC), 3-2 in a league test.

With the win, Southern Nash improves its record to 7-1 on the season. The Firebirds travel to Louisburg (Louisburg, NC) to encounter the Warriors in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 3. The Warriors go into the test with a record of 2-4. Louisburg won 3-0 in their recent league test against Durham School of the Arts (Durham, NC)

The Yellowjackets now own a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northern Nash for a The Big East 2A/3A bout on Tuesday, September 3. Roanoke Rapids will clash with a Knights team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Bunn (Bunn, NC). The Knights record now stands at 4-1.
