The Wilkes Central Eagles volleyball squad (Wilkesboro, NC), dropped 3-1 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC)

With the win, Surry Central improves its record to 7-1 on the season. The Golden Eagles host Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC) to encounter the Huskies in a non-league battle on Wednesday, September 4. The Huskies go into the battle with a record of 8-1. Ashe County won 3-0 in their recent non-league battle against Alleghany (Sparta, NC)

The Eagles now own a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Surry for a Foothills 2A battle on Tuesday, September 3. Wilkes Central will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 3-0 league win over North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-2.
