With the triumph, Elk City improves its record to 5-1 on the year. The Elks travel to Oologah (Oologah, OK) to face the Mustangs in a non-league game on Thursday, September 4. The Mustangs enter the game with a record of 11-3.

The Fighting Irish now possess a 3-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clinton for a non-league match on Tuesday, September 2.
