In Friday's non-league test, the McAlester Buffaloes (McAlester, OK) softball squad got by the host Heavener Wolves (Heavener, OK), by a count of 2-1.
Next, the Buffaloes meet the Tahlequah Tigers (Tahlequah, OK) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, September 2. McAlester will attempt to move on its 2-5 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 12-2 record after their 13-0 league win over Durant (Durant, OK).
The Wolves (9-9) will now prepare for their test against Keys (Park Hill, OK). The Cougars go into the 3A test with a 6-6 record.
