In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Wheeling Wildcats volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Evanston Wildkits.

The Wildcats (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Mundelein (Mundelein, IL). The Mustangs come into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Mundelein was nudged by Palatine (Palatine, IL), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Wildkits play the Wauconda Bulldogs (Wauconda, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 30. Evanston will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Bulldogs go into the game with a 0-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Richmond-Burton (Richmond, IL).
