The Valdez Buccaneers (Valdez, AK) volleyball held off the host Grace Christian Grizzlies (Anchorage, AK), 1-0 in Friday's non-league contest.

The Buccaneers (10-4) will now prepare for their contest against Redington (Wasilla, AK). The Huskies enter the non-league contest with a 0-3 record.

Next, the Grizzlies battle the Mountain City Christian Academy Lions (Anchorage, AK) in a 3A Southcentral contest, on Tuesday, September 2. Grace Christian will attempt to move on its 5-4 season record. The Lions enter the contest with a 7-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Barrow (Utqiagvik, AK).
