In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting West De Pere Phantoms volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the New Berlin West Vikings.

The Phantoms (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Green Bay Preble (Green Bay, WI). The Hornets enter the Fox River Classic challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, Green Bay Preble was tipped by Mineral Point (Mineral Point, WI), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Vikings meet the Luxemburg-Casco Spartans (Luxemburg, WI) in a non-league test, on Saturday, August 30. New Berlin West will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Spartans go into the test with a 2-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Neenah (Neenah, WI).
