The Piute Thunderbirds crushed the visiting Green River Pirates baseball team by a tally of 10-0 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Thunderbirds now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Diamond Ranch Academy for a non-league game on Friday, August 5. Piute will clash with a Diamondbacks team coming off a 12-2 league loss to Bryce Valley (Tropic, UT). The Diamondbacks record now stands at 0-1.

The Pirates (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Wayne (Bicknell, UT). The Badgers go into the 1A - South game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Wayne was overwhelmed by Panguitch (Panguitch, UT), 4-1, in a league game.
