Weed Cougars (Weed, CA) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Butte Valley Bulldogs (Dorris, CA), 9-2 in a league challenge.

Next, the Cougars confront the Tulelake Honkers (Tulelake, CA) in a Shasta Cascade challenge, on Tuesday, September 6. Weed will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Honkers enter the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Lost River (Merrill, OR).

The Bulldogs now have a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host Trinity for a Shasta Cascade challenge on Thursday, September 1. Butte Valley will confront a Wolves team coming off a 6-0 non-league win over CORE Butte (Chico, CA). The Wolves record now stands at 7-3.
