Mendota Trojans (Mendota, IL) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Riverdale Rams (Port Byron, IL), 8-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Trojans face the Orion Chargers (Orion, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 2. Mendota will attempt to better on its 8-0 season record.

The Rams now have a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to DePue/Hall for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 3. Riverdale will face a Little Giants team coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Illinois Math & Science (Aurora, IL). The Little Giants record now stands at 2-3.
