North Carolina High School Volleyball - Surry Central over West Wilkes

August 30, 2022: Dobson, NC 27017

The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) and the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC), saw Surry Central's volleyball squad beat West Wilkes by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Surry Central upgrades its record to 1-4 on the year. The Golden Eagles host Elkin (Elkin, NC) to play the Buckin' Elks in a non-league bout on Wednesday, August 31. The Buckin' Elks go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Elkin won 3-0 in their recent league bout against North Stokes (Danbury, NC)

The Blackhawks now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Forbush for a Foothills 2A bout on Thursday, September 1. West Wilkes will play a Falcons squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to West Forsyth (Clemmons, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 0-5.
