The crowd at Wednesday's league bout between the Mendez Jaguars (Los Angeles, CA) and the visiting Hollywood Sheiks (Los Angeles, CA), saw Mendez's volleyball squad beat Hollywood by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Mendez upgrades its record to 5-0 on the year. The Jaguars host Franklin (Los Angeles, CA) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 7. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-6.
The Sheiks now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they host Roybal for a bout on Friday, September 8.
