In Wednesday's non-league battle, the host Kearsley Hornets soccer squad scored a close 4-3 win over the Goodrich Martians.
The Hornets (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Central (Bay City, MI). The Wolves go into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Central was nudged by Heritage (Saginaw, MI), 13-0, in a league battle.
The Martians (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Linden (Linden, MI). The Eagles go into the non-league battle with a 2-0 record.
