Lamar County Trojans (Barnesville, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Callaway Cavaliers (Hogansville, GA), 14-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they host Crawford County for a 1A D-I Region 4 challenge on Thursday, August 31. Lamar County will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Heard County (Franklin, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Callaway falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, GA) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 31. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 0-9. Mt. Zion lost 11-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Woodward Academy (College Park, GA)
