Jones Longhorns (Jones, OK) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lexington Bulldogs (Lexington, OK), 9-5 in a league challenge.

The Longhorns now sport a 9-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Holdenville for a 3A challenge on Thursday, August 31. Jones will face a Wolverines squad coming off a 7-5 non-league loss to Heritage Hall (Oklahoma City, OK). The Wolverines record now stands at 7-20.

With the loss, Lexington falls to 9-16 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Heritage Hall (Oklahoma City, OK) to face the Chargers in a non-league challenge on Monday, September 4. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 16-4.
