The St. John's Mavericks volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Foster Falcons to 2 in the Mavericks non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Mavericks now have a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Concordia Lutheran for a non-league game on Thursday, August 31. St. John's will meet a Crusaders team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Kinkaid (Houston, TX). The Crusaders record now stands at 11-5.

The Falcons (18-5) will now prepare for their game against Needville (Needville, TX). The Bluejays enter the non-league game with a 17-7 record. In their last game, Needville was nudged by East Bernard (East Bernard, TX), 3-1, in a non-league game.
